Exploring Its Achievements in Providing Advanced MRO Solutions to the Aviation Sector
Abu Dhabi, UAE – July 27, 2024: Sanad, the global aerospace engineering and leasing solutions leader wholly owned by Abu Dhabi’s sovereign investor Mubadala Investment Company PJSC (Mubadala), welcomed His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), to its facilities in Abu Dhabi. His Excellency Al Suwaidi praised the company’s exceptional aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services and highlighted Sanad’s pivotal role in advancing the global aviation sector through innovative aviation maintenance and engineering solutions, emphasizing the company’s significant contributions and commitment to excellence.
Welcomed by Mansoor Janahi, Managing Director and Group CEO of Sanad, along with key officials and the company’s engineering, technical, and operations teams, including national talents, Al Suwaidi conducted a comprehensive tour of the facilities providing him with firsthand insights into Sanad’s capabilities and global accomplishments in the aviation industry.
The GCAA Director General commended Sanad for its advanced solutions, technical methodologies, and engineering initiatives in civil aircraft engine MRO services. He emphasized Sanad’s, crucial role in shaping present and future trends in the global aviation sector, emerging from Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates.
Sanad, with 37-year track record and extensive experience in global aircraft engine MRO services, provides high-quality services to over 30 airline companies worldwide and all major global original Engine manufacturers. The company employs top-tier technical practices integrating international solutions and expertise with national engineering and technical operations talent within the aircraft engine MRO industry.
In 2023, Sanad achieved a milestone by servicing the highest number of engines to date, with 142 engines across four maintenance lines. By year-end, this figure is projected to increase to around 160 engines, with plans underway to introduce a fifth maintenance line. This expansion in Abu Dhabi reflects ambitious goals to surpass 200 engine inductions annually from next year onwards, demonstrating Sanad’s continued growth and commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and strategic growth.
